Which Airlines Have the Best Business Class? 🛫

When people talk about travelling in style, a luxury business class cabin on a plane comes to mind. And with many international carriers removing their first-class options, business class has become the de facto way to enjoy luxury travel high at 30,000 feet. Sure, they cost an arm and a leg, but if you’ve got the cash (or the points), flying business class is the way to go. With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of the best airlines for business class flights. So pour a glass of champers and read on to see who made the cut. 💺

British Airways 🇬🇧

The iconic airline has refreshed its fleet recently, adding an improved business class cabin in the process. Your little suite now has a sliding door for added privacy and, as expected, lie-flat seats so you can get some kip during a long-haul flight. Its onboard product is top-notch too, with excellent bedding, a stylish amenities kit and delicious food. British Airways is one of the few airlines to offer first-class, but its Club World (that’s what it calls business class) cabin is essentially the same thing these days.

Qatar Airways 🇶🇦

Qatar has every angle covered with its business class product, including solo travellers, families and those on actual business trips. Its Qsuites offer bedding and amenities provided by The White Company, which you can enjoy on the completely lie-flat beds that stretch to 79 inches. There are sliding doors for extra privacy, more than enough storage compartments and smart seats with features like a “do not disturb” button. The middle seats can even be converted into a four-person cabin, ideal for business groups and families.

Singapore Airlines 🇸🇬

Singapore redesigned its business class on the A380s a few years ago, and the results are seriously impressive. The cabin looks sleek and stylish, providing passengers with spacious seats, plenty of privacy and handy seat controls. Couples travelling together can even convert their seats into a double bed.

Lufthansa 🇩🇪

The Germans are well known for their excellent cars, so it won’t come as a surprise to learn that they can kit out a business class cabin on a plane. Lufthansa, the largest German airline, offers lie-flat seats 20 inches wide and 76 inches long when extended. If you want to freshen up on your flight, there are amenity kits with skincare products from Jil Sander Navy. You’ll also get an eye mask, socks, toothbrush and toothpaste, lip balm, skin cream and headphones. When it comes to food, you can expect seasonal dishes served on fine china.

Air France 🇫🇷

Air France is another airline that’s refreshed its business class cabin with impressive private pods. What does that mean? Well, you get your own space on the plane and unrivalled privacy. On top of that, you can enjoy your secluded space with 500 hours of entertainment on the 16-inch HD screen and food crafted by a Michelin-starred chef.

Emirates 🇦🇪

Comfort and space are the words of the day on Emirates business class flights, with each passenger getting direct aisle access and a good amount of privacy. If you opt for the window seat, you can take solo travel to the next level with your own spot to enjoy high up in the sky.  The amenity kits and in-flight entertainment are as good as any other five-star business class product, while the service is what you’d come to expect from one of the world’s best airlines.

China Airlines 🇨🇳

You will find a reverse herringbone seat with a one-two-one configuration on China Airlines. The seat itself has tons of tech, storage and charging ports, while the monitors are 23 inches and come packed with entertainment options. The North Face provides amenities, and there’s even an inflight bar and mini-library on some China Airlines planes.

ANA 🇯🇵

The Japanese carrier offers a first and business class product to rival the biggest airlines in the world, despite not being one of the traditional players. Each seat has a door, the suites are huge, and you’ll find it hard to beat the personal space offered. China Airways revamped all of its first and business cabins in 2019, meaning you can enjoy a modern five-star flying experience.

Turkish Airlines 🇹🇷

Turkish Airlines really does look after you on its business class flight. The lie-flat beds have their own built-in massage function, so you can relax and unwind in style. There’s also gourmet food on the menu and an excellent entertainment system that makes Turkish Airlines one of the best when it comes to business class flights.

The best business class airlines

Put your feet up, enjoy five-star food, excellent service and comfy beds where you can catch some shut-eye on the business class cabins on our list. You’ll love the experience so much that you’ll want to stay on the plane for as long as possible and make the most out of being on cloud nine.
